SOBRE LA EXPOSICIÓN

A historical exhibition that covers her life, from little Tanuca to becoming the Duchess of Alba, as well as her extraordinary contribution to the conservation of the immense artistic and historical legacy inherited and to the internationalization of the Casa de Alba.

The exhibition, which celebrates the centenary of the birth of the 18th Duchess of Alba, is the result of three years of research and work by its curators, Eugenia Martínez de Irujo and Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz, together with the team of the Casa de Alba Foundation, who have managed, through more than 200 pieces, to transfer a panoramic and polyhedral image of this great woman of Spain, and of everything that made her a great Duchess.

The exhibition reflects the Duchess's devotion to Seville and takes place in what probably became her favorite residence, the Palacio de Las Dueñas, a spectacular 15th century Gothic-Mudejar and Renaissance building.

With CAYETANA. GRANDE DE ESPAÑA inaugurates a temporary exhibition hall, the Sala del Patio del Aceite, which has been restored over two years and will kick off a rich cultural program at the Palacio de Las Dueñas.
